Men's attire and sacino's

I'm trying to figure out what would look best with the tuxes.

My dress is Ivory.

For the groomsmen, I was thinking either Victorian Lilac or Platinum (silver). I don't want to put them in lavender because I don't want them to feel emmasculated in a girly color. The girls will be wearing silver shoes and I might get silver chargers for the tables so there will be some silver accents if we choose the silver vests. The victorian lilac is a darker purple. My fiance is leaning towards the silver because he feels even the darker purple is a little girly.

For my fiance, do you think it would look better for him to be in a Silver vest and tie or an Ivory vest and tie?

Also, have any of you had any negative or positive experiences with Sacino's? Please tell.

I don't like colored vests on men, so I vote for silver.

However, we're doing black vests with green-and-black striped ties for the guys. FI will wear a black vest with a green-on-green striped tie. He picked out the guys' attire, although I gave a few suggestions.

Silver vs. ivory, that's up to your FI. Mine said he didn't want to wear all white/ivory. He wore a silver vest and tie as a groomsman once and looked very nice and said he liked it.

I like silver on him better too but if we go with silver for the groomsmen, don't you think he would need to stand out and wear something different? Or, I guess it doesn't matter.
