Reception Locations in Wentzville / O'Fallon Area

Hi Ladies,

My brother in law is recently engaged and looking for a reception venue in the Wentzville / O'Fallon area.  They would like to do a buffet for $7 - $12 per person.

Anyone have any ideas.

I got married in the city and am unfamiliar with Wentzville / O'Fallon.

TIA!

You can try Quail ridge lodge.  They are just a venue, but you can find a caterer to bring in!  I'm getting married there next July, and they are wonderful to work with!

(and not to mention, its only $650 for an entire saturday!)

I would really love to hear what you think of Quail Ridge Lodge and what caterer you're using.  My sister-in-law is venue-hunting right now, and I think the Quail Ridge Lodge is just about the best thing I've ever heard of.

We're doing a July Lunch type BBQ  wedding, so we're hoping to book "Let's Do Lunch".  But before we settled on that, we had some good talks with Genesis Catering.  They have pretty good food, and were really nice to work with!  A plus is that they've catered there a lot before, so they are very familiar with the venue!

Check out this new group  http://www.meetup.com/STL-and-Metro-Brides-To-Be/

Will be inviting venues of this nature to many of these meetings.  Great group.

I also recommend Quail Ridge Lodge.  It's so beautiful and isolated--you have a gazebo for the ceremony, a deck for the cocktail hour, and the Lodge itself for the reception.  It runs $650/day for Saturdays.  Unfortunately, all Saturdays are booked for the next two years, but Fridays and Sundays are still available.  You can see more pictures of it on the Genesis Catering website.

A very reasonable caterer to consider is Catering by Georgianna.  For 150 people, it's $9.50/person, and the food is supposed to be really good.  You're not locked into their bar packages and can bring in your own beverages.  I got married in October at the 9th Street Abbey, but now I'm helping my sister-in-law plan her wedding and have discovered a whole new world of venues and caterers.  Georgianna was a Knot pick, so it's a caterer worth checking out.  Happy planning!

Well, I know they are booked on saturdays for the next year, but they don't take bookings for 2012 until Jan. 2011

For Quail Ridge Lodge, are they strict about the time frame of checking out and cleaning everything up by 11pm? Could you possibly rent it for two days and clean the next? Thanks!
