I'm getting married in early October in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn and have been looking for florists downtown near where I live with not such great luck. The issue is that our wedding is really small (about 50 ppl) and we're looking for small, simple centerpieces, and to not spend much more than $500.
I've tried Saffon which was extremely reasonably priced, but their delivery and set up fee of $250 (which they were not willing to waive or allow us to pick up ourselves) brought the cost up over $800. I've also been in touch with Opalia and we may be able to work something out but they haven't been super helpful/accommodating with actually showing us ideas in person. I also tried a couple freelance florists but they were already booked on that date.
I'm beginning to freak out a bit as the wedding date gets closer. Any suggestions?
