So just curious to see who else will be celebrating the special day at Round Hill. Our date is for next May. It had all the elements we were looking for. If you are having it there, what are your decor ideas?? And any other thoughts/comments. Yay!
I was married last summer and we had our reception at the Grandview. But, one of my bms is getting married on July 16, and she's having her ceremony and reception at Round Hill. I've heard it's great!

i attended a friend's wedding there this past august & it was BEAUTIFUL!!! she had her ceremony & reception there & it was great!! i must say, the grounds are gorgeous & the reception had a very intimate feel to it... good luck!!!
I booked RHH too!! Nov 6 2010, can't wait! I plan on decorating the three mantles they have with pic's of our parents / grandparents at their weddings in nice frames, some different shaped candles and sets of lovebirds (part of our "theme"). I want to put some votives on the bar too. But I dont think that the place really needs a ton of decoration, it has so much character as it is!
Congrats!!! Round Hill was on my list of places to look at, but we never made it there, only because once I fell in love with the View, I rationalized that FEAST was a bit of a drive for our guests and never made an appointment haha
Congrats on booking! I'm a Round Hill bride too, we booked last year. We're going to use minimal decorations, just small centerpieces - the house is very colorful and decorated as-is
I'm geting married there in 51 days! (but who's counting?? ;-)
It's beautiful ... I love the homey, cozy feel of it, I love that it has all the elements of a regular recetion hall without feeling like a regular reception hall...
For decor, I'm basically just doing a lot of candles, and then plants on the porch. These are our centerpieces:
But the place realy doesn't need much help in the way of decor -- it's already beautiful.
Congrats! Seriosuly, I've had nothing but great experiences with the staff there, and I think it's such a great place.
Jen, I love your centerpiece! Everyone is right...you don't need to do much there. I was thinking of centerpiece ideas. It's almost like you can't do something too extravagent because the house is already so decorative. I do want to pick something that fits in.
Had my wedding/reception there this past August. You will not be disapointed. I cannot say enough good things about the place. My guests still talk about how good the food was. I miss the people there - everyone was so great! You are going to have a great wedding!
I am also a RHH bride. We were married on Oct. 4th and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff is fantastic and doesn't miss a beat. We kept it really personal with putting pictures on the mantles of our sibling/parents/grandparents wedding, pics of us and some candles. The food is absolutely fantastic and they really make sure that you are comfortable and taken care of, as well as your guests for the day, just like holli I would be happy to answer any question. I miss them and their tastings!
Best of luck to all of you who booked there, you really won;t regret it.
can anyone tell me ballpark what FEAST at Round Hill costs? I'm starting to make my budget and look at venues and so far this place is my dream location (especially after hearing all of you rave about it!)
Unfortunatly I'm working on a tight budget and I'm worried this place is very pricey, before I get my hopes up and call can someone give me an idea of what a 200 person guestlist is like there?
also- SANDD The View looks awesome too, can you tell me more about that one as well?? thanks!!
Re: Booked FEAST at Round Hill! Who else??
