Time in between ceremony and recepetion

in November 2012 Weddings

Hey everyone. Our wedding ceremony at the church starts at 2:00 and will last around 30 minutes. I am thinking we will not be done at the church till about 3ish because we will take a few family pictures. Our reception is going to start at 5 and dinner served around 6:30. I am worried about my guests having 2 hours in between ceremony and reception?? I can start my recepection at whatever time I want however I dont want it to end super early. Let me know what you think about time in between...

    There was a post on this subject last week that may have some good suggestions in it.
    You could suggest things to do in the area for the guests. That being said, if you can start your reception at any time, would you consider moving it up, even to 4pm?
    It is a little early, but cuts down on the time in between.

    I'm sure either could work, you guys just need to think about what works best for you.

    i made the post last week. Our ceremony is at 130 (possible 2) lasting only a half hour and our reception is at 630. There is no changing either times so we're trying tofigure out what to do in between..
