  Have you done a tasting?  Have you discussed having each tier a different flavor?

  we go for the tasting on the 17th. I think we are going to do it all the same and not different layers

  I would say wait until you actually taste them before you get yourself overwhelmed. Once you taste them you will have a much clearer idea
  This is why I am so glad my daughter picked her only fav. cake(carrot) It was an easy dicission for her.  Not to say that I hadn't mentioned to her of all the options that were out there which warrented the "Mom, enough!" look LOL

  Just try what sounds good to you, but don't fret.
  
  I just put in my appointment for a taste, my cake lady is extremely busy so i'm having a to-go-tasting so I can try it with family and not have to worry about getting everyone at the same time at the same place!
  
  I requested a chocolate, and red velvet for my grooms cake - boring I know, and a few different things for my own, french vanilla with pineapple, and another with raspberry, also her bavarian is to-die for.
  
  I personally would go with something I love, pineapple is definitely high on my list - but I also want everyone to enjoy it so I may lean for raspberry, a compromise i'm entirely willing to make.

  If you choose a single flavor for the entire cake, I would suggest a flavor that is popular for the majority of your guests. Nothing too "over the top", or you will have a LOT of cake left over.

  At my wedding all the guests got their own mini wedding cake.  On the RSVP cards they got to pick from 5 choices:
  Chocolate with peanut butter filling
  Chocolate with caramel filling
  Vanilla with strawberry filling
  Vanilla with oreo filling
  Banana with mango filling
  
  #1 choice: banana with mango filling
  
  People wanted something different.  Not just white cake with plain filling.
