rehearsal dinner - who is invited?

I'm confused!  Who gets invited to the rehearsal dinner, if we're just doing wedding party (not all out of town guests)?  Obviously, for our out of town guests, the wedding party member and their spouse and children will be invited.  What about the in town guests?  For example, do I invite the bridesmaid's husband and children or just the bridesmaid?

    You should invite your wedding party members and their spouses. If their childern are invited to the wedding than its nice to invite them as well, but isn't necessary. Also, OOT guests don't have to be invited either, but its a nice gesture. We invited OOT family and their spouses, wedding party and their spouses and immediate family.

    We invited all bridal party, their spouses or significant others, and all parents.

    Some people also invite the minister/priest/officiant, depending on their relationship with that person (Ours was my brother, so of course he was invited!)

    Oh yeah, we invited our Rev. and his wife too, but they are longtime family friends as well.

    I invited the bridal party, their spouses, and families.  I also invited special aunts and uncles.
