Ring Sizing

I was wondering if any of you knew of a place in the Tampa Bay Area that does ring sizing same day. My ring is from Kay Jewelers, and it is just a little too big. However, if I get it resized through them I had to send it in for at least 10 days! (they said it was bridal season) Is this how it usually works. I have always thought a store could resize on site. I am willing to pay to expedite the process. I have been engaged for almost a month and I am not ready to part with my ring just yet!

    Be aware that if you get someone else to size your ring that Kay may void your lifetime warranty (if one was purchased.) I would double check that before taking it somewhere else.

    They say it takes about 10 days but have always gotten mine back sooner. FI just bought me an accent band and had it sized about a month ago and it took 5 days or so.

    I would just take it to Kay. If you take it somewhere else and they mess it up then you have no warranty anymore. I had a hard time parting with my ring too but it's worth knowing that it will be in good hands and be done right.

    I agree with pp's -- it's not worth the risk of voiding the warranty. I would check the other Kay's in the area. Some have a jeweler on site.

    Charles  Jeweler in Tampa Palms is amazing! Not only did it they do it same day, but they did it in about an hour... and you can even watch the guy do it (which my FI wanted to because he was so scared if we sent it away someone would switch out my diamond or something!!!). They have reasonable prices and are very friendly. They deal a lot with high end jewelery, so they really know what they are doing. I only go to them to get my ring cleaned too :)

    but... like everyone has said, i would double check to see what your warranty says bc you dont want to invalidate it!
