  LHT, do you have an HE washer? I've been wanting to try this, but haven't yet because no one ever seems to come back to say if I should put this stuff directly in my drum *front loader* or in the drawer thing. 

  
  

  Did you use the Purex? I also couldn't find out on those comments for sure if I could use that on my workout clothes that need to be washed w/o fabric softener...

  LDY, I would think you would put it directly in the drum. First of all, I have found powder detergent doesn't really seem to dissolve as well if you put it in the loader thingy, and secondly, I bought something similar to those purex crystals (like downy scent refresh or some shiz) and it told me to put them directly in the drum.
  
  I don't know about the workout clothes question though. I wash everything the same.

  I don't think we have an HE. I'm assuming I'd know, right?

  
  

  I did read on a different website that had the same recipe that they put it right in their washing machine. So that's what I would do. 

  
  

  I didn't use the Purex because I have to use Calgon for a water softener and Calgon has some of the same elements as the Purex.
