Birthday party help

Hi! We are fairly new to the Seattle area, and I am starting to plan a birthday party for my husband but don't know a lot of places to start. I figured this would be the perfect place to start!

Criteria:
-Preferably on the Eastside, Kirkland/Bellevue...but would consider Seattle as well
-Summer, so would love something with some outdoor space, but not a must
-If I have to pay to rent the space (in addition to food/drink costs) want to keep that under $500, prefer $200-$300 range
-Estimating 20-30 guests
-Anticipate some out-of-town guests, so want something more "special" than a group dinner at a restaurant...but I'm not opposed to doing the party in a bar or restaurant

I would love your ideas and suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Re: Birthday party help

  • Is it just a gathering, are there things you guys love to do? And I am assuming you don't want to cook your own food?

Bbq-I would say Marymoore, or Lake Sammish Park

Resturants- Rock Bottom, Ruth Chris Steak House, Garage, Novhilos, Pearl Bar, Wing Dome

Places- Lucky Strike, iPic theather, Big Picture

I am not sure on the food or really the overall feel for the birthday or I would have a better suggestion.

  • Redhook is on the eastside, and you can rent a room for events there. They do buffet meals. Also, on their grounds, they have some "adventure stuff", which would qualify as outdoors. I've never participated though.

I second ipic/Big Picture. They're both at the Redmond Town Center and they're super fancy for watching movies

Also, there's the trampoline places, one in Bellevue and one in Kirkland. I've heard loads of great things about those.
