This Washingtonian turned Bostonian turned DC-ite will be having Sweet Caroline on her must play list, in fact, we might play it twice! But that's mainly b/c it's hard to imagine a gathering of our Boston college friends without it. I'm also considering making our entrance to "Shipping Up to Boston" (i.e. Jonathan Papelbon's entrance from the bullpen song), but I'm just a Sox nut.
It's also, depsite being really cheesy, a really sweet song.
lol Jennuine. I was not aware "Sweet Caroline" was some sort of wedding standard. I haven't been to that many weddings though either. I do kinda want a Neil Diamond song somewhere in there, but that's because both of my parents loved him and so did I when I was little. But I'm a little more inclined to "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show"
This song is great! I've heard it 3-4 times at business function/parties recently and it doesn't get old. It was prominent at both of my sister's weddings where we shout "CAROLYN" because that is her name! Go for it!

Yeah, my FI would also be like WTF is this? I'm already pushing it w/ footloose. Wait, is footloose a no no? Well, you gotta have a few crowd pleasers and play to our different guests.

It will definitely get everyone singing along, just not my style. Another sing-a-long: Build Me Up Buttercup.
