Mini-vent: Invites

I was having a really difficult time selecting an invitiaton that I liked. I feel like I searched through hundreds of designs online and catalogs. So the small independent printer we use at my office suggested using them for my wedding stationary. I told their designer what I was thinking and she totally nailed the design. I have seen an electronic proof which I love but I am still waiting for the actual paper proof. (I requested a paper proof because I wanted to see how the accent color would look on paper. It's a pale pink and when I printed the digital proof on regular paper it seemed really light.) However, the proof was supposed to go to print last Friday and then sent to me (or delivered by the owner who lives less than 10 mins from my office) but has yet to arrive. I emailed the designer asking for status and have heard nothing. I think I'm freaking out over nothing. We use this printer all the time and they are awesome and always come through. Ok, I think I just needed to vent because I need to start addressing invites and getting them out because my RSVP date is August 14.

Maybe if you don't hear from them by ... oh lets say Friday, give the owner a call & ask if they have a date for your proof copy.

Your RSVP date is August 14th? Is there a reason why you need it two months in advance? Usually it's a month to two weeks in advance. If you can extend the deadline, maybe that would be better, especially if you probably won't be able to send them out for another week and that's if you get them in time to do so.

If I needed to stick with that RSVP date that you listed, I would be kind of freaking out too. If you don't hear back from them by the middle of the day, I would either go up there or call them to see what's going on. I mean, you are 3 weeks away from your RSVP date!

I would give someone a call today. Just let them know that you were wondering if it has been done yet and explain that the RSVP is on the 14th so you reallly need to get them out.

haha, Ok good. I was going to comment on how you really need to get those in the mail if they are due back in 3 wks! I would still call them to confirm. I'm a little antsy too, although I've placed my order. I ordered them on the 10th and she states I should have them between 10-15 business days, so now I'm on day 11 and I just can't wait to see them!!!
