Invites... are in the mail!
Woo! I was a little worried about the christmas card confusion but I figured its better to get them in the mail now. I'm having a destination wedding for 80% of the guest. They are already booking flights and hotels and time off so, I figured we need to get the invites out ASAP. 

Groom's suit! ... currently being tailored. 
Didn't expect it to be so easy but found a great deal on a nice suit. And it just made sense. 

Currently working on decor and supplies. I'm putting together welcome bags for hotel guests. As well as toiletries in the bathrooms. Also picking up random decor and gifts for people. 

Things are moving along well now. I'm likely to be doing some work travel in January and February so I'm tying to get as much planned as I can.

    Those are great checks! Congrats!!

    Since we are OOT, we're limited as to what we can do until we get up to Pittsburgh for Christmas. I'm planning to pick up supplies and start putting together welcome bags and toiletry baskets for the restrooms like pp, but that has to wait because I don't want to travel with that stuff. My mom is addressing our invites and we're getting those out first of the year.

    Checks: finally booked our flights to get to Pittsburgh (yay, we'll actually be in attendance to our own wedding.. haha), booked honeymoon

    Currently: working on welcome packets, fine tuning programs and reception signage, and designing the rehearsal dinner invite. Also working on our day-of schedule because things needed to get moved around a little from the one I spent hours perfecting... haha go figures.

    To do: MUSIC! We forgot about this until recently- We don't have a first dance song picked out, father/mother dance songs, or our introduction songs, so hopefully we'll get to that soon.

    Whoo hoo, nice to get some big things done!

    Right now we are finalizing all our invitation stuff so we can get them put together and sent out right after Christmas. We also recently met with a travel agent to look into honeymoon options and we hope to book that ASAP.

    I think I have my wedding band picked out! My ring has this wave shape to it that is seriously IMPOSSIBLE to match! After looking at a few places, we went to this place near my work where I can get a discount. We look around and guess what - they have a band that matches almost perfectly! I was totally shocked. So I have just been thinking it over (I hate making decisions!) and I definitely think it's the one! FI has a few in mind that we just need to go look at one more time to be sure.

    I'm also looking at accessories right now. I found a necklace and earrings I love though! The necklace has almost an S shape to the pendant and it alternates diamonds (can't remember if they're real, I think they're the "lab created" ones or whatever) and blue diamonds that almost match the BM dresses. The earrings I found are that same blue. I have two holes in each ear so those will be for the top. Just need to find something a little dangly for the bottom! We also looked at shoes but nothing totally standing out yet. I did get flip flops for the reception though.

    Oh, and we officially booked our hotel room for the wedding night. One more thing out of the way. SO much to do and I feel like it's starting to really get "down to the wire" haha. Hope I don't go crazy! Undecided

    Congrats! It's getting closer!! Don't you just wanna squeal?? 

    I have been SUPER busy. We closed on our house last Wednesday, so we've been buying appliances, calling utility companies, and getting ready for our housewarming party. ^_^ 

    On the wedding front, we've also been knocking out the checks. He bought his suit this past weekend, reserved our wedding night hotel room (a HUGE suite at a hotel I've loved since I was little), and decided on my wedding band. Just like Jenni, my ring has a curved shape to it, so we decided to take a page from Twilight (guilty pleasure. No judging ;) ) and decided to go two-handed. I'll wear his mother's band (that doesn't fit my ring) on my left hand, and my engagement ring on my right. 

    Recently, I have mailed the invitations (WOO-HOO!!), scheduled my first fitting, got the stickers for the favor bags, finalized the ceremony music, had a graphic designed for the programs, reserved a makeup artist, and started working with one of my friends that is building my hair flower for the ceremony. 

    Time is flying!!! I'm so excited for all of you!!!

    I still feel like I have a lot of time! lol   

    This past week/weekend:  We got the wedding night hotel suite, block of rooms, linens picked, food tasting, picked a florist, picked out the tuxes, got the wording finalized for invites and test printed (all worked out well, just have to print all of them-going out the week after Christmas), registered for the bridal shower/wedding @BBB, finalized the shower guest list and emailed it to the shower hostess...I think that's it.  I was going to DIY a card box, but the reception hall has one I can rent that's big, heavy and locks.  I'm just going to do this, since it will prob. cost me about the same to DIY one, plus the stress of doing it since I'm not too crafty to begin with.

    Seeing that wedding countdown get close to double digits is seriously freaking me out. 103 days left and I know it will fly by.I have been very calm until last week. I had my first bad wedding nightmare that I showed up and nothing was done.. everything I had left to do was never finished. It was horrible. lol.
    So I had a very productive weekend.
    -I fine tuned the programs, and will print them the week of. I purchased the cardstock for these.
    -I decorated Mr & Mrs letters for the head table.
    -Final touched on the card box
    -Bought some more items to complete the centerpieces (ive been going  with coupons to get everything for all 20 tables)
    -We finally decided on the boys suits and all but one has paid.
    -BM gifts are done-minus the emergency kit im putting together for each girl.
    -We have almost all the music picked out.

    We still need to:
    -finish the invitation wording and get those printed.
    -I have to file for my passport this week... before my FI kills me. lol
    - Purchase plane tickets :)

    MissRutig - I have those dreams all the time! It's scary, haha. In the dream I show up to the wedding and have no idea what's going on. I'm scrambling to get everything together. It's like I get married tomorrow or something. Exactly like you said - what's not done now still isn't done at the wedding! Crazy!

    EXACTLY! I hate it. It makes me panic. I've had the occasional crazy dream with something wedding related, but this was my first wedding nightmare of that extent. My FI had to wake me up because i apparently kept saying "no no no". Im just glad I dont have them often, i would really panic.

    lol I have had the wedding nightmares too but mine are usually focused on one aspect. For example, a few nights ago I had a dream that my hair and makeup people didn't show up so had a big frizzy head of hair and hardly no makeup on. haha I also had another that the florist didn't show up. Hopefully these don't get worse as it gets closer to the wedding! EEks!

    I haven't had a wedding nightmare yet. I interpret it as my being calm and collected...but I def text and facebook my wedding planner at least three times a day.
