I am SO sorry to any bride I referred to Blue Bamboo Photography aka (www.milwaukeeonfilm.com) They wrote me today after me not hearing from them in six weeks asking whats up and said they are closing down the business and will promptly send my deposit back to me.  They seemed okay for the price so I ignored some warning signals when they photographed my friends wedding.

She got her pictues just now (one month passed promised date and still doesnt have an edited video or all the pictures!) I have to be glad they are legally letting me out of the contract but I'm so mad they waited this long to tell me. "We have been considering this for some time now" were her words.

Seriously now I am left less then 3 months till the wedding with no photographer and no budget because they were advertising a holiday special when I signed them and have since then moved the money to cover other areas of the wedding. My budget is $600 or less so if ANYONE has any suggestions PLEASE SEND ME THEM!

    OMG I am so sorry to hear about this. Our photographer is Sarah Bohl, but her packages start at 1650. Good luck with everything.

    I am going with Joe Hang...he's very reasonable.  Otherwise I have a friend that is doing photography and just starting, very great pictures! She is from Chicago....she has a blog or you can find her on facebook, its Rachel Bujalski.

    Try craigslist.  A friend of mine didn't have a huge budget and actually found someone on craigslist who was just starting out and needed to build her portfolio.  The woman shot her wedding FOR FREE.

    andreafriar.com. You can check her availability on her website and see if she has your date open.

    They should have given you more warning! But I think you'll be okay since you aren't getting married in the busy season.

    What about any local colleges that have a photography program? They may have senoir students who could work with you ?

    Jon Martinez from jonoptics is that price and he is wonderful. He just did my cousins and is now doing mine. Plus, he does all day photography for that price not just hourly stuff and you get a cd!

    Look at Latoyagale.com or find her on facebook under Latoya Gale Walls,
    she has a pkg for $575.00 that includes all day photography, digital proofs on dvd, unlimited pics,web viewing, guest book and engagement session. A lot of her work is on facebook and is great,,...
