photography/videography

Need some advice ladies, I met with Tom, from Eivans last night and we got quoted $1970 for a photo/video package. Which includes the following:
10 Hours of CoverageHigh Resolution DVD of all photosUnlimited Photos to OwnOn Site Portrait Studio All Photos are Color Corrected & EditedUnlimited B&W, Sepia & Special EffectsCustom Designed Photo Thank You CardsOnline Picture Proofing & Ordering

And the video includes 5 hours of video and they give us 3 dvds.

Is this a good deal? I really liked Tom he was very outgoing and personable.

Re: photography/videography

  • I think they thing to considere in all the photographers is how much are their albums, as well? I found some places "looked" cheaper but when push came to shove, their albums were more expensive.

I also looked at whether they would send a 2nd photographer to catch the "little" moments, as well.

I did my shopping and found Fred Fox to be the cheapest place with a great reputation.
  • Thanks for your advice, I don't want an album I just want the prints so I can print out the photos I want and make my own album, we are having a small wedding so I don't need a second photographer.
  • Will he give you the copy rights to the pictures after the wedding so you can print them yoruself whenever you want to?

  • KatWAG yes we will get a dvd with the copyrights to our pictures.
  • I was told to ask these questions

    1) Will the DVD be HIGH Resolution? How big can the photos be blown up from the DVD?

    2) WHEN will you receive that? sometimes photographers hold off on giving it to you for MONTHS in order to try to get you to buy their stuff
  • I agree with asked about the resolution of the photos you will be getting and how long it will take to get the actual DVD. Many times you get the rights, but the resolution is not high enough to be able to print pictures that arent blurry.
