City Schedule Conflict with my Wedding

Oh my goodness... I was looking at new venues across the river, to try to find something even better than what we have (hey, it's worth a look), and was informed that it's the Portland Rose Festival Parade the day of my wedding.... Um, how did I miss that detail???

So... now, everything will stay up here on this side, just so I don't have guests getting lost in the parade crowds. Wow.

Luckily, it doesn't cause any problems for current arrangements, other than folks renting cars and getting out of town...

Re: City Schedule Conflict with my Wedding

  • the town where we are getting married is having a big horse show the weekend of our wedding so a lot of the hotels will book up quickly if our guests don't reserve the rooms where we have them blocked off. I feel your pain

  • My brother and sister in law had problems for their July wedding in Salem a few years ago. There was an art festival downtown and everything was booked up. It was a good thing the blocked off hotel rooms. But they had problems finding vendors.

Um, yeah, I would take the parade into consideration. I lived in Portland for 10 years and it is a big deal. That sucks, I'm sorry!
