City Schedule Conflict with my Wedding

Oh my goodness... I was looking at new venues across the river, to try to find something even better than what we have (hey, it's worth a look), and was informed that it's the Portland Rose Festival Parade the day of my wedding.... Um, how did I miss that detail???

So... now, everything will stay up here on this side, just so I don't have guests getting lost in the parade crowds. Wow.

Luckily, it doesn't cause any problems for current arrangements, other than folks renting cars and getting out of town...

    the town where we are getting married is having a big horse show the weekend of our wedding so a lot of the hotels will book up quickly if our guests don't reserve the rooms where we have them blocked off. I feel your pain

    My brother and sister in law had problems for their July wedding in Salem a few years ago. There was an art festival downtown and everything was booked up. It was a good thing the blocked off hotel rooms. But they had problems finding vendors.

    Um, yeah, I would take the parade into consideration. I lived in Portland for 10 years and it is a big deal. That sucks, I'm sorry!
