Petite Mother of the Bride Dress

My mother is 5 feet tall and weighs about 95 pounds.  Shopping is frustrating because it's difficult to find petite sizes that are small enough to fit her.  She is willing to make minimal alterations, but would like to at least attempt to find something that might remotely be a good fit right off the rack.  

Any suggestions on where to look?  I have already looked online at Nordstrom and some other department stores... Slim pickings.  She is looking for a long gown.  She'd like to be able to try before she buys (so, no online-only retailers).

    Ann Taylor is now offering a wedding line - and they have petite sizes.  I am 5' as well, and fit perfectly in their size 2 dresses.  They have long and short dresses in their wedding line.  You may be able to have a dress shipped to a local store so that your mother may try it on.

    She bought a dress at Nordstrom this weekend!  She needs to get it hemmed, but otherwise it fits!  She's VERY happy that we were able to find a long gown and that she was able to try it on in person.  Best part is the price - $158 (not even on sale), and because she signed up for the store card, she gets free alterations!
