videographer suggestions

I was wondering if anyone knew of a videographer that charged under $1000, and produced a good video. A friend suggested a film student, but I don't know of any. I really want to have a videographer, but finding one that fits in the budget is proving more difficult than I thought. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate them. Thanks!!!

I'm going to recommend my videographer even though she is slightly above the amount you are looking to pay. Kristyn from Castle Video Productions. She does really great work and is a total sweetheart. She has run some specials in the past for discounts on her packages. Not sure if she is doing any now though. I know she does offer a 'shoot only' package too for less than $1k...might be worth looking into.

To save money, I went with a ceremony-only package from Forever Cherished Productions for $300. Our budget was tight and I felt like that was the most important part of the day anyway!

I'm using Jamie from Shutterspeed Productions. She's on the west side of the state, but doesn't charge a travel fee. A couple other Detroit Knotties have used her. Her first three packages are under $1000.

Thats exactly what we were looking for to. We ended up finding an amazing deal with Joe Jax from Wedding Crashers Videography. Basically a full day of events for $600 which includes: 6 hrs of coverage (full ceremony and reception), wedding day highlites on the dvd and 3 dvd copies.

He seems like a really nice guy and has been great to work with so far. Definitely check him out. I'm sure he would work with you if you wanted to add more to the package or change anything too. Here is his info:
