Re: Anyone up?

  • I am.

It's 8:30 here and the first day of our DST, so I'm super tired.

  • Yeah, but that's what insomnia will do for you.
  • almost 3am here.. chilling in the bar and about leave since last call was surpose to be over an hour ago
FI is feeling a bit good on 7 beers, and a shot, and I had 4 mix drinks and stopped a half hour ago.. We were going to go to a bar out of town for a concert, then decided to go next door from our place. Since we don't have to drive, and I wanted to drink.

  • AMrs- yes! make breakfast. I'm starving
  • It's just easier to do when H is around.  The "menu" for this morning is eggs, sausage and freseh cantelope.  But that seems like so much work for just me.

  • aMrs. - I love making breakfast!  Best meal of the day, even if it comes at 2 in the afternoon or 3 in the morning.

    Laughing
  • Sure, it's the best meal of the day.  But you have to admit, it tastes so much beter when someone else cooks it and cleans up!

I'm here. It's dinner time, Sunday night.

I'm not feeling particularly together right now. I am sick, had a nanna nap and now have a splitting headache and am completely disoriented. And apparently rather the whinger. Blah.

  • TheSun, Sorry you're not feeling well.

What exactly is a "nanna nap"?

    A 'nanna' is a grandma.

A nanna nap is a sleep (generally in the mid-afternoon) that a young person takes as though they're a grandma. ;P

  • I've been wondering what your "nanna nap" was. I thought it was a fun singing way of saying nap "I'm going to take a na na napppp"

AMrs- I pretty much only like eggs when someone else cooks them even though T swears I make delicious eggs.
  • ahhhh, we call them "power naps"  I usually take one daily!  No shame in a nanna nap.

I saw you're question in the other thread.  We're doing good.  My poor H is isn't athiest, but has always been "just nothing" is getting a crash course in Catholics this week (holy week starts today) when he found himself accidently at a Mass last night.

  • haha I had no clue that you guys didn't say that! I just figured that it must have been used over there as well given no one said anything when I mentioned it before. Do you guys say, 'nanna'?

Some people say "nana" it depends. I call my grandmother "grandma".
I rarely take naps, I feel guilty when I do. Stupid guilt.
I'm sorry you're sick, thats never fun.
  • Now that you've napped, that means you can stay and play with us longer?

  • We ended up going to the Templar Festivsl and got there at the end of the Trubedour Parade.  The parade took everyone to church for the Mass to honor the Templars (cute way to get everyone to Sat evening mass).  So, there we were, in a 500 + yr old church when the mass started.

I secrectly think he likes going to the masses in the ancient churches in a language he can't understand.  His first ever Catholic mass was at Notre Dame in Paris.  We went in and it was the first Sunday of Lent

  • Sounds amazing! Did you have a good time?

Nick and I accidentally went into mass in Amsterdam. I found it interesting, so I second your H's secret excitement! haha.

  • See...

When we were in Notre Dame, they had a full choir singing and H was just all "wow, that's how a choir is supposed to really sound?"

We have a kind of unspoken agreement.  I don't ever force him to go to mass, and when we find our selves in one, he doesn't get pissy if I dawdle a bit to listen.  But I have noticed that he is going further and further into the church each time.  Last night, the church was almost underground and I found him all the way down the steps by the pews.  I was "uhm, honey, back up here by the door, or it will take us an hour to get out..."

  • i am here. just finished work...its almost 4am here...breakfast sounds amazing though...banana pancakes are my favorite
  • Hey ladies.  I'm up.  It always takes me a while to wander my way around to here because I figure no one else is around! hehe

I've had a headache all night and into this morning.  It's pissing me off.  Today, I have to get some things in order for our trip that starts Tuesday morning.  I may, or may not, pack today.  I have all day tomorrow to do it.  But, I have to get H to pack today.  Last time he waited until day before, he ended up staying awake all night, was incredibly out of it and grumpy the next day and forgot his passport- thereby missing his flight.  We're not doing that again.
  • How long will you be in the states?
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Just 6 days.  It's a fast trip because we have too much going on to stay very long.  We're just going back now to get the house ready for renters and put it up for sale.
  • Six days shouldn't take a lot of packing.  He can do it!  Go Mr Amoro!

I was trying to watch that Jamie Oliver special on ABC.com, but nooo, I don't have a US based ISP...bastards.

  • It's there, but all the sites that have it tell me, nope, you aren't in the US.  Sorry for you.

Well, it's 2:00 PM.  i think it's time for my nanna nap ;-)
