Appitizer Ideas/ Recipes

My FH and I have chosen an amazing venue that we love...that includes everything I could ask for... except the dinner option that is included in the price is not what I would have chosen in ideal circumstances. They do allow you to bring in additional food but not a caterer so we have decided that while we are taking pictures we will do cocktail hour with appitizers that we can bring in ourself. Along with beer, wine, and a signature cocktail to go with the theme.

For cocktail hour Im already thinking about:
Pinwheels
Mini- Keish
Motzerella with basil and cherry tomato skewers
Bacon wrapped duck with cream cheese and jalepenos inside

What are your opionions on a cheese display with bruschetta and assorted bread/crackers

Asparagus wrapped in puff pastry

Baked Bre'

Mini Cabbage Rolls- which I love but FH hates.

What other appitizers have you seen or had that you loved? How many choices should I serve since our dinner menu is quite limited?

The last wedding we went to had three hot passed apps, and it was enough.

I would choose finger foods that don't require spreading/applying...so the
mini quiche, the brushetta (with tomato already on toasts,) and something with the puff pastry...however a lot of people don't like asparagus.  The mozzarella skewers are great too...

What ever you choose, I would suggest something that does not require a knife and fork, plate, or sitting to eat it.  The best part of the cocktail hour (as a guest) is being able to mingle around and talk to each other, which is easier to do with a free hand.

    It all sounds really yummy!

Im having stuffed mushrooms, seafood stuffed wontons (cheap and easy) shrimp cocktail served on skewers, I understand what PP said about not having items you need to spread but theres so many more options in spreadable apps. We are having cheese balls my grandma makes and spinach dip that will need to be spreaded but taste so good! everything you have sounds really good so far and seems to be enough maybe have like fruit skewers with a yogurt dip to add in something sweet?
