I don't love my dress

I am in such a dilemma!!! I bought my dress in May. I've since gained enough weight that it doesn't even fit without all of the under garments. I wanted a lace up back put in which would fix that situation...but I don't love the dress. I mostly got it because it was a good price, my sister said I looked pretty in it, and the lady who sold it to me was freaking pushy. I am at a loss for what to do because there are so many things money can go towards in the wedding rather than a new dress.

    Oh no!!!! If you are 100% percent sure that you dont love your dress you could always sell it on the knot classified or on recyclebride.com. Have you tried it on since you have purchased it?

    I've tried it on a couple of times since the purchase. It's hard cuz it used to fit like a glove but now not so much. Maybe I just need to see it after all of the alterations are done. But if I am 2 sizes bigger than when I bought it will they even attempt it? It's David's bridal so I'm nervous.

    Normally with alterations they take can take your dress in 2 sizes or let it out 2 sizes. Depending on the structure and details like beading and boning they may be able to let it out more. I can relate because my dress was a bit snug but I decided to start working out and eating better so I could lose the  weight.

    If you have the money go for it- get a new dress. If not see what you can do to alter it. Is it just the fact that it doesn't fit bother you, or is it the dress? Once it fits it may change your mind and can you do anything to add a sash, beading or something to make you like it better? I understand not liking the dress, wasn't so hot about mine for awhile but I don't have the money to change it..

    I do have a sash for it and if they put in the lace up back I want the ribbon in it to be guava like the sash if I can still use it once they put the new back in. Money for a new dress really depends on how much FI's parents decide they want to give us. There are things I like about the dress I have simple, pockets but if I had had the money there are several other dresses I would have tried. Maybe that's the problem.

    That sucks sorry to hear that. Try to sell it. IMO it's important you love your dress it will be in all your photos /videography it's the dresss that you marry the love of your life in an it should be what makes you feel the most beautiful in.
