AW: Invite Mock-up PIP

I assembled an invite to see what the final product would be and it turned out pretty nicely :) I definitely redesigned the entire thing; I wanted more layers to it and not just digital.

I heat embossed the silhouette stamps so they kinda pop off the card and feel glossy. I added some pearls and bling for a little extra pop too.
I made a belly band using a design hole punch and added a sheer ribbon around it.

This is the "ensemble":

Re: AW: Invite Mock-up PIP

  • Those look gorgeous Mama!! I love how you added things to make it your own and much more personal. They look great -- awesome job :)

We got our invitations in kits from Michaels. I'm thinking about doing what you did and adding something else to them so they don't like so "digital" like you were saying.

  • I think TK is being wonky again :(  Can't see your post!!
  • Those are beautiful! I love the belly band.
  • It never even appeared for me... so fun... :P

I'll try to post it here and see what happens...

I totally redesigned my invitation because I wanted something more "layered" than a digital image printed on paper. I still printed the wording but used stamps and heat embossing for the silhouettes; it makes them rise on the paper and look and feel glossy. I made belly bands using a design hole punch and added some sheer ribbon. I did small embossing and hole punch on the corners of the invitation as well. Of course I added some pearls and little bling for extra wow :)

  • I wrote this before, but I think TK "ate" it.
It's beautiful! I love the belly band :)
  • Wrote before too, but its gone now :(

But I love it! I love how you took details and added them to make it more of your own. I just got a few of the kits from Michaels for our wedding, and I definitely need to add to mine too.

Yours look so great! Awesome job Mama :)

  • Aww Mama those are beautiful!! Great job
  • They are so beautiful!
  • They're super pretty!  I'm still on the fence about whether to DIY or to order it from Vistaprint.  How long did it take you to make these?

</div><div>It's going to take me a good chunk of time to put them together. The embossing is a process; it's easy but it takes time. And with all the details, it's a timely process.</div><div>But it's exactly what I want and I like being crafty so it's fine :)</div><div>I'll just have to make myself an assembly line lol
