any suggestions on bands?

Hi everyone...just want to know if anyone has any suggestions on really great bands...we loved Stolen Moments but they are already booked...we would want the same vibe as Stolen Moments...thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have! Good luck with your planning :)

When I saw your question I was going to say Stolen Moments!

The Tony T group and the In-Transit band we looked at. (Ultimately, though we went with  a DJ)

The Touch band also gets recommended on here quite a bit.

I'm in northern NJ and we're using The Time Machine.  I imagine they do the Hudson Valley, too, but not sure.  A little expensive, but we really felt they were worth it.

thank you for all the suggestions....I will look into all the bands mentioned. I looked into The Original Faze 4 ....but they are $17,000 and would be way too big for the space, since its 11 people...(and way over my budge!t).

My wedding is August 13, 2011 and although I live in the Hudson Valley, my wedding will be in Old Westbury, NY (Long Island). Thanks again everyone....will keep you posted if I find one..please let me know if you think of any others!

Ask for Anthony Furio.  They are amazing!!  I booked them for my holiday corporate party and I am going to try and book them for my wedding.

Absolutely you have to hire Joe Kazz and his band. They are amazing and very very reasonable. We adored them. The lead female singer is off the charts. Numerous guests compared her to Aretha Franklin. They learned a ton of songs for us and even surprised us with some-I had asked if they had an U2 in their repertoire, which they didn't, but I didn't want to ask them to learn something else. Well, they learned and performed an AMAZING Angel of Harlem as a surprise for me. Plus, Joe is super detail oriented and organized. He is also very responsive and you will feel so comfortable working him and well-taken care of.  http://www.kazzmusic.com

He is based out of Kingston, but the musicians are from all over NY.
