  I've heard of people using pinwheels instead of flowers for the bride and bridesmaids if you want something fun.

  You could have a non-flower bouquet, made of brooches, buttons or feathers.  You could also carry a fan (one of the fold out kind), a Bible or other important book, a pomander (floral or non), a clutch purse, or a candle.

  just went to a wedding this weekend were the bridesmaids carried cluch purses with cala lilies pinned to the front.

  I have seen some wedding pictures with old fashion metal/glass lanters with candles for the wedding party...they then set them down around the alter...I don't see why you couldn't do the same - i am sure it would offer a pretty glow if it is a dimmer setting.
