Discovery Cove?

has anyone ever been to Discovery Cove? My fiance and I are planning a fun getaway to Orlando and will be swimming with the dolphins and doing the seaquest adventure.... just wanted to know what to expect.

    One of my friends works there.  It's awesome (but expensive IMO)!  Really for what to expect it depends exactly on what you'll be doing and what you'll skip.  I think their website has a good amount of information on it to help you.

    My FI and I did it on a trip to Orlando in 2010 .  It was awesome, it is expensive but food and drinks (including beer) are included.  It wasnt as long of a time spent in the water with the dolphins as i would have liked but it was AMAZING.  i would recommend it.  Have Fun! and enjoy Orlando

    I went several years ago and I believe it was about $250 or something per person. Really expensive, but really fun. Food/drink included, but if you want a picture of you swimming with the dolphin, you have to buy that too at the end.

    I did it on a family vacation many years ago, and I really want to scrape the money together to do it again the next time DH and I go to Orlando, so he can experience it, that's how much I enjoyed it.

    It is pricey, but like PP said, food and drinks are included. Another thing is, that in an effort to keep the animals as calm as possible, they only let a very limited number of people in a day, and they strictly enforce the "no screaming" policy-so it's not the typical "over-crowded with screaming kids" park experience. It's a very calm, peaceful day ... so worth the extra money, imo.

    One thing to remember, though, like I said, they only let a very limited number of people in a day (I think it's only like 200 people tops), so you are better off just booking it in advanced. You can get in if you show up first thing in the morning and there aren't scheduled to be at capacity, but really, why take the chance?

    Discovery Cove is like my favorite place in the world. It's expensive but totally worth it IMO.
