ok, I am about to come out of my seat with how the past two days have been WONDERFUL!
So, most of you know my headache has been with finding a caterer. Yesterday I meet with Creative Catering (they do all of our holiday parties at work, so I already know their food is good) After talking to him and telling him my vision and budget, not only did he come up with a yummy dinner he did it $200 UNDER my budget! woo-hoo!
The menu:
Cocktail hour:
Stuffed Mushrooms
Cheese/crackers and fruit display
Buffet Dinner:
carving station of roast beef W/mushroom gravy
Chicken breast stuffed with spinach top with white wine sauce
Garlic Mash potato
squash casserole
grilled vegetable
house salad w/ toppings and various dressing
yeast rolls
Dessert:
cake/ cutting included in the price
mini cheese cake tarts
assortment of cookies
3 servers and 1 bartender (we bring are own alcohol)
We are putting down a deposit this week. Caterer, Done!
-Then today while looking on the budget board, I found 10- 120" round tablecloths for $117. (that averages to $11.70 each) and free shipping. That the cheapest I have been able to find, so I pounced on the deal.. linens, Done!
- Now, FI just sent me a text and said he found 2 non-stop round trip tickets to Aruba for our honeymoon; $800 ($400 each) honeymoon.. getting done!
Yeah! With all the stress that can sometimes come from planning a wedding, it is nice to have a few things fall in place!
Now that I have some breathing room, I want to go to the beach!
