So I was embarking on a sunset wine cruise this afternoon when I got an email informing me that my WP is a fraud.  Yay!  It was from the company's former owner that closed the company down last year and my WP continued to operate under the company's name and branding.  Awesome.  Luckily, I only paid her the deposit via PayPal so hopefully I can get that back when I call them tomorrow or Monday.  Grrrr....

    So this drama might have a quick resolution.  PayPal didn't promise a refund but I emailed the original wedding planner and she said she would refund the money.  She went on to explain that the former CEO is her ex-boyfriend's mother and they broke up recently so the CEO is acting "slimey and backstabbing."  Okay yea, whatever, I don't really care, just give me my money, thanks.

    I spoke with another wedding planner this morning and she can do the same thing for the same price but even better, she's going to make a personalized agenda for every member of the bridal party AND she has some decor items we can use for centerpieces, etc.  This may just be a blessing in disguise :-)

    Wow, thank goodness you were informed of the fraud with plenty of time to find another wedding planner! It could have been a much bigger mess a couple months down the road. I'm glad your getting a refund and everything is working out.

    Eisel, I'm actually getting married in North Carolina so she is based in Greensboro.  Where are you getting married and who is your planner?  I know of a planner local to Panama City Beach if you're interested :-)
