Need a Mt. Venue suggestion...

My fiance and I want a long mountain weekend with family and friends.  We were thinking about renting nice, newer, large log cabins that are close together anywhere in the NC Mts.  Perhaps we would get married at the cabin or find a local venue, reasonably priced.  Any suggestions?  I am also trying to keep my wedding very "green", eco-friendly.

    My brother and future SIL are having the same type of wedding that you mention.  They are holding their wedding at Leatherwoods: (www.leatherwoodmountains.com/)

    We have rented 3 cabins for family and they are getting married on the balcony at one.  Beautiful location and the cabins are awesome!

    My sister got married at Homewood in Asheville.  Nice "green" knoll to get married at and if you combine it with Aritsan Catering then the price is reasonable.

    Search for cabin rentals in Maggie Valley. I went to college at WCU (cullowhee/sylva, NC) and that's the best area for beautiful views and they have a lot of vacationners there so their are plenty of cabin places.
