Ideas for staycation honeymoon.

Hey everyone, my FI and I have taken the week off after our wedding and have decided to do a staycation honeymoon in the cities. I'm hoping that you ladies can give me some ideas of what to do/what to see. I've lived here for about 4 years and I have some ideas but would like some more. Share 'em if you got 'em!

I'm a kid at heart so I love going to the Science Museum... that is all I can think of on this early Saturday morning!

CrowdCut usually has a lot of deals on hotel packages and stuff. My friends and I just took a day trip up to Duluth and we managed to get a deal for one night, 2 tickets to an area attraction plus $25 for outback steakhouse all for $99 :-)

Well if you are into sports at all, you could try to see if you can get tickets to a Vikings or Twins game! The Rennaissance Festival in Shakopee will be going on then too. There is also Canterbury Downs in Shakopee if you're into horse racing. You could book a riverboat cruise on the St Croix in Stillwater and eat at a nice restaurant down there. The Wabasha Street Caves give tours and I've heard they are fun -- I've only been there for swing dancing and it was a blast.
You could look up what shows are in town if you are into broadway or music---The Hennepin Theatre Trust usually has some great shows (At the State, Orpheum or Pantages Theatre). Of course, there are TONS of shows around the cities since we have so many theatres. You could find one of the apple orchards around the area and pick some apples, etc. If you like casions at all, there are a few in the area that you could spend a night.

I second the Ren Fest! We go every year and dress up because we are nerds like that. There are lots of great B&Bs around if you are into that. We stayed at the Ann Bean Mansion in Stillwater after our wedding and loved it. The breakfast was stellar and Stillwater is a great place to relax, walk the main street, shop, and eat. There are some good wineries in that area as well.

My FI and I went to a Twins game when he was in town.  After the game was over, we got dressed up and had drinks/dinner at one of the restaurants downtown.  We spent the night at the Graves (they have a jetted tub with a TV in one of their suites) :)

We had a halfaversarymoon the weekend of our six-month anniversary since we didn't really take a honeymoon.

We got a nice room downtown Mpls, and checked in early on Friday. We got lunch from a food truck that day, and had dinner and drinks at Saffron that night -- we went there the night we got engaged. On Saturday we kind of wandered around downtown during the day, and drinks and apps at Tom Pham's Wondrous Asian Kitchen that evening before going to a comedy show. On Sunday after checking out, we had brunch at Hell's Kitchen, then went to the park where he proposed before heading home. It was a great weekend!
