Cake Guys-A+-awesome! GREAT tasting, looked great, got compliemts on how good it was
Venue-Starlight Room-C-It is a beuatiful venue, and the food was really good. Several problems with them along the way though. For example, the price was to include linens, silverware, etc.. and the example of the table setting had evrything (chargers, linens, napkins, etc..), but apparently the price did NOT include napkins, so I had to go BUY linen napkins a week before the wedding. Also, we paid for gobo of our initials on the floor, but they just never made it. Various problems like that. Also, my family stayed and helped pick up my stuff (like the napkins I had to buy, and my personal vases that I provided, candle holders, etc) and the venue emailed us after the wedding (during our honeymoon) demanding payment for some of their votives that my family supposedly took-I would have thought that they would have helped my family to determine what was owned by them so that wouldnt happen. Also, even if my family did take a couple of votives I am shocked that they would demand payment for approx $20 when we just spend $18k there.
Church-St Thomas-A-beautiful, nice, helpful
Photographer-Dallas in Focus-B+, so far. I have not gotten pics yet. The flash did not go off when throwing bouquet and I had to reenact it. That's not really their fault, but annoying. Also, I thought they price included them being there for hair and makeup, but it tuens out that I had to choose between that or the rehearsal. But, very nice and professional, which is a great thing on your wedding day. The pics I have seen so far look awesome, and they listened to every shot I said I wanted to have done.
Videgrapher-Adam Kegg-I dont know yet, but Im sure it will be good.
Alterations-Becky Fowler-A+
Hair/makeup-Kristin Colaneri-B. I thought all the BM looked really good, and my mom looked great, but when I looked at pics of myself from that night, I dont like my hair. It seems that it was not sprayed enough or something because the curls just fell right out. My maekup was ok.
Planner-Simply Perfect Kristin Hoffman-C- She helped to set up the venue, which was great, but itwas not set up exactly how it was supposed to be done. I am probably being picky about it, but I gave very detailed directions (I made crystal trees for half of the centerpieces, which was VERY expensive and time consuming, and I saw some of them in various places around the venue, rather than on the tables as centerpieces.); I saw her assistant and others sitting upsatirs in the VIP area during the wedding when supposed to be working; We did not want son/mother dance, but her assistant took my husband's drink from his hand and told him to have a dance after the father/daughter dance; I got phone call from the dj the morning after my wedding saying that we had not paid them in full yet, when she was supposed to confirm vendor payments BEFORE the wedding; I had to notice the gobo was missing and ask the venue about it, rather than her. GOOD-she did the bustle on my dress well, she took all the decorations a week before the wedding and was responsive the week of the wedding.
DJ-Complete Music-Alvin- B- Professional, nice. He CUT THE FIRST DANCE SONG SHORT-It was a special surprise song I chose for my husband (Led Zeppelin), and he ended it after approx less than a minute-That really pissed me off because that is the one moment I was lookig forward to. They called me the day after my wedding (9am) asking for payment, which I thought they would have dealt with BEFORE the wedding.
