Accountability - Wednesday

Still sick... this is getting old... got home early from work yesterday and slept most of the night, so no workout. Still eating well on the Paleo diet though...

How was Tuesday for everyone?

Today's Inspiration Picture:

Re: Accountability - Wednesday

  • I ate really well yesterday! I had 2 hard boiled eggs and half a grapefruit for breakfast, a salad for lunch, a yogurt for a snack, and "fried rice" (made with cauliflower and LOTS of veggies-yum)

Britt, hope you feel better soon!!

  • Love today's inspiration pic :)  It's very true, and a lot of time midrun I forget that.

Yesterday wasn't too bad.  I ran a 4 miler, and that plus dog walking/walking to and from the train gave me lots of "bonus" calories.  I barely made it to my daily count but I did it with lots of snacking (veggies, fruit, nuts).  Breakfast was my usual greek yogurt with banana chips and a fruit wrap.  Lunch was leftover yellow rice with some beans, and dinner was ravioli and brussel sprouts.  Overall, not too bad.

Britt- Feel better and remember the biggest part of staying healthy is diet and it sounds like you've been doing amazing at that :)
  • Did well yesterday. Breakfast was yogurt and granola, a chicken wrap for lunch and Santa Fe Chicken from Skinnytaste for dinner. If you haven't tried that recipe yet i highly recommend it. Easy and delicious!

I also went to the gym after work and did weights, incline walking and cycling.

Tomorrow is my self imposed weigh in day so I am hoping to see results!

  • Diet is one thing we've been really good at. We follow Paleo with some modifications (we don't completely cut out dairy for example, are just careful what dairy related we eat), and FI has been right on board which has helped SO much!
  • i ate well yesterday. but we didn't go to the gym because i got stuck working late and dan's train got delayed by about an hour. but we had gone the past four nights so i was thinking we might take last night off anyway. i was pretty sore. and i got to watch glee!
    Happily married since 9/1/2012!

  • I burned 411 calories shoveling about 1/2 of our driveway.  I would have done awesome if there wasn't shards of glass in my homemade soup.  I chewed a piece in my broccoli.  It broke twice by the time I could pull it out of the roof of my mouth.  We have no idea how it could have gotten in there.  I'm thinking it was from the frozen broccoli that I used.  Needless to say the ENTIRE GIGANTIC pot is now thrown away.

FI, stepson and I, ended up splitting a small pizza and made cinnamon fajita rollups for desert.
  • Breakfast and lunch were great yesterday, a slimfast shake for breakfast, and some leftover meatloaf and baby carrots for lunch.  Then FI and I decided to have a date night and the calorie count went through the roof.  We went to Chili's for their Maragrita-ton meal, it was amazing but now I have to try to make up for it.

I still can't work out, per doctor's orders because of my knee.  Hopefuly once the right brace comes in I'll be able to get back on track with that.  I feel like I've been saying this forever, it's so frustrating!

Hope you feel better soon Britt, FI is sick and I finally convinced him to get an appointment with the dr.  I think he has a sinus infection but I obviously have no degree in medicine haha.

  • I ate well yesterday... with the exception of a 2 inch square piece of cake at work lol.... I figure that small of a piece can't cause that much damage.

I suck at working out... I try to do it 2-3 times a week.... but, I've been eating healthy (trying to keep it 1200-1400 calories) so I think it will be fine.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Accountability - Wednesday : Is the Paleo diet completely non-dairy? I need a diet that cuts out all the dairy because I am lactose intolerant. I haven't started one yet because they always include yogurt and milk.

Yes traditionally its no dairy and no carbs
    Here's a site that explains it: <a href="http://thepaleodiet.com/" title="Paleo diet" rel="nofollow">clicky</a>
