Music help and for fun

Ok so part of the reason I'm posting is for fun. I'm just curious what everyone is doing for music for the ceremony an reception. But I also need help. My dad past away 5 years ago. My best friends dad is walking me down the aisle. I want a nice friendship song to dance to. Right now I'm planning on James Taylor you've got a friend. But I'm not sure if I really wanna do that one. He is like a second father to me and a very good friend. Also anything by maroon 5 would be good but I dont think they have a song like that. Any suggestions would be great. Also for recessional and other ceremony music are you just doing instrumental? Or are you having words? We are doing cannon in d for processional. For my entrance we are doing I'll be by Edwin McCain but the vitamin string quartet version. we just don't know about the recessional yet. We are also having trouble picking a first dance song. I'm thinking a country duet would make us both happy. So again any suggestions would be great. We are doing girls girls girls by the motley crew for the garter toss. And honeybee by Blake shelton for the cake. And our entrance song is frankie valli can't take my eyes off of you. So tell me what you're doing and give me suggestions please! Sorry if this is long!

  • We're not doing dancing at the reception, so I can't help you there.  For the recessional, we're doing Bethovan's Ode to Joy.  The postlude will be Now Thank We All Our God.

  • I know you already have a song by this name, but it made me think that it might be a good first dance song for you since it is a country duet.  "Can't take my eyes off you" by Lady Antebellum is a really lovely song, it was definitely in the running for our first dance!
