Saturday, October 29, 2011: I found the most beautiful colored picture of a fairy-tale....my favorite...Sleeping Beauty. On the other side was a note. In short, the note told me to get my butt out of the bed because we had a long Charleston Adventure Day ahead of us. It also said that he had 6 envelopes that would contain a colored fairy-tale picture with a limerick (a rhyme) that I had to solve that would lead us to our next destination.
Destination 1) Breakfast at this little cafe near Isle of Palms beach. The original plan was breakfast on the beach...but it was raining.
Destination 2) Sullivan's Island, where we took pictures by the lighthouse.
Destination 3) The Charlestobn Battery. This is where all the historical homes are beautifully displayed by the water. There is a lot of tourism here.
Destination 4) Middleton Place. This is an old slave farm in Charleston where we went Horseback Riding.
Destination 5) The Charleston Harbor where we spent time together, resting and watching the boats go in a out of the harbor.
Destination 6) My favorite place: Shem Creek. Here, there are many restaurants, bars and inns right on the water.
We were on the dock and I told Jeremy I was cold and ready to go inside after all this outdoor stuff all day!!! He replyed, "ummm...just a few more minutes". With his arms around me he said, "today has been so perfect...can you think of anything else that would make it more perfect."...I knew right then what he was about to do.. but I was in such shock I said..."noooo". Then he asked me again and got down on one knee. After a very sweet speech asked me to marry him. It took me a few head knods before I could vocalize a "YES".
