Wedding planners

So I'm talking with a number of planners to see if I can afford one because my best friend swears it is the best investment I can make.  Does anyone have advice.

    I had a planner and I loved working with her. At the time when I was getting married I worked a ton of hours so it was hard for me to research on my own. She saved us so much time because I told her what FI and I wanted and she found things for us to choose from. We had our wedding and reception at a hotel, and even though the hotel planner was great, she was mostly concerned with hotel-related things like figuring out the menu and things like that. Our planner really made sure that all of the vendors knew where they were supposed to be and when. I had the easiest and least stressful time planning because I delegated all of the hard stuff to the planner.
