Wedding Shoes?

I'm wearing one of those maggie sorento dresses in the champange, almost a light gold color.   Any suggestions on wear to find my shoes to match?   I let time get away from me and my fitting is Thurs so I do not have time to order online.   Any suggestions for Toledo area stores would be much appreciated.  Thanks!!

I'd just go to whereever you would normally look for shoes.  Check out DSW because their selection is huge.  Maybe look at Shoe Carnival or the department stores if you don't find anything at DSW.  It really depends on what kind of shoes you're looking for.

Will you even see your shoes?

My dress wasn't a big full ballgown- it was just an A-line with a crinoline underneath.  You could never at any point throughout the day or night see my shoes. Ever.  My feet were hurting quite a bit by the time the reception started, so I ended up kicking them off partway through and just wearing some ballet flats.

If I could go back in time, I would have just worn the simple ballet flats for the whole day and been comfortable. Just my two cents.

Everyone is different once I put on a pair of cute heels I wont take them off for almost anything, but I looove shoes. Im wearing bright colored shoes(hopefully) but you could do silver or white if you wanted.

I agree with PP, you don't have to match your dress. I think you should go for one of your wedding colors! Or, use it as your something blue. Might be less stressful than trying to match the gold of your gown.
    Good luck!

What PP are saying is pretty much how it is. Probably no one is going to see your shoes because there's just so much fabric. I'm getting TOMS for my wedding (as are all my BMs) because they're super comfy, I'll wear them again, and six kids will get pairs of shoes as a result of my wedding. That makes me pretty happy. :-) We're either going to get plain white and have a painting party, or I'm going to get these (except in blue, which they apparently don't have right now...).

Thanks for all the advice ladies!  what fun ideas!   I'm a little more on the conservative side so I went with the matchy matchy....but they have some character to them.

antoinettegover - mine is the maggie Ruth - today we went to just about every shoe store in town and DSW has the best selection in both clearance and regular.
