DJ Gary Manheim

Anyone used Gary Manheim for their DJ?  I am getting married at Round Hill in Washingtonville and he is one of their preferred vendors - the other preferred DJ was way outside my budget, but Gary Manheim is well within, but I can only find 2 reviews about him on weddingwire - 1 glowing, 1 negative.  Any help would be appreciated - regarding him or any other DJs you know who have DJ-ed Round Hill.

    We used DJ Bri Swatek / Spinning with Style and he did a fantastic job! I believe that he has DJ'd at Round Hill House.

    (And FYI - usually those lists are just suggestions by the venue. There are a few exceptions, but you can usually hire ANY vendor you want to work for YOUR wedding day.)

    If it's not too personal, would you mind telling me how much he was?  We are on a tight budget.

    Not sure if his price is different now (we booked last year). But he was $1200. I won a prize at a bridal show of either a free memory montage or $200 off. So we only paid $1000. When we looked we saw quite a few DJ's in the $1000 - 1500 range. So we felt comfortable with his pricing. (The first guy I met quoted nearly $3k, so it was a bit of  a shock!)

    Glad I went to the bridal shows, so I could meet with people, And get an idea of pricing and personalities.

    Great thanks so much for the info.  The one guy I spoke to wanted 2K and I was a little bit shocked.  $1200 sounds much more reasonable.  Again - thanks for the info!
