We were just watching Four Weddings and when the one couple was cutting the cake I had this thought... I may be over thinking this but ... how do we cut the cake with ribbon on the bottom of each tier?!! Tongue out

(don't know why the color is weird..)

    Oh...I was hoping there would be an answer to this as I was reading it!! I just realized I will have the same problem.  Maybe the back could be cut open (like a seam) and you could remove a small piece of the ribbon just for when you need to do the cake cutting?  Hopefully someone has a better suggestion :)

    Ours had ribbon around the bottom of each tier.  We dropped the ribbon off with Lori (cake lady) a few days before the wedding...
    See the ribbon...

    when it was time for the cake cutting, the coordinator removed the bottom ribbon so we could cut the cake with no problems.
    See no ribbon on the bottom 

    I was realllly confused at first too, but it worked out fine!
