My first real AW post and I'm going all out...well kinda

We got another furbaby! His name is Doobis (it's a brand of drums-H is a drummer-although we changed the spelling so that it was phonetically-is that even a word?- easier to pronounce).  Our other pug Louie likes him but is a bit too much for the little guy right now.

Also, some more pics from the wedding (unprofessional)

Lou did so good!  I knew he would though.  It was perfect weather for him, 70's and partly cloudy.  When it was time for the rings, the girl I hired to take care of him for the hour let him off the leash and we called him up and he ran right to us.
Finally married!

Oh yeah, here's a pic of my BM with the short dress drama, I'm glad there's another bm in the picture so you can see the length of the other dresses.

  • Nice pics.  Yeah, the girl looked stupid, but if I had a body like that, I might try it too.
  • Doobis is so cute!  How old is he?

  • If only I had those legs!

New pup is cute, and Lou too!

    Nice pictures.  Congratulations!
  • That pup is ADORABLE.  Your wedding looked amazing - you look gorgeous in the pics you posted!

  • Yeah I will admit she does have an amazing body.  I've always told her that when I get my boob job, she has to come with me so I can show the Dr exactly what I want lol.

Doobis is 6 weeks old.  Generally I'm a stickler for 8-10 weeks but there were originally 7 in the litter and it was just him and his brother left when we went to look. He'll get better socialization by coming to work with me and Lou everyday.
  • Doobis is adorable! You looked amazing. And yeah, she has an amazing body, but would be the worlds crappiest stripper if she didn't. ;) It's definitely a lot shorter, but hey, no asscheek is a good thing, and I'm glad it ultimately worked out!

I LOVE YOUR DOGS!!!! I have a pug too and I cant get over how adorible they are.
  • Nebb I need to see a picture of your pug!
  • I'd love to have our dog in our wedding but I fear he will get too excited. My nephew said he would be his handler (he's 13) so I wonder if I went this route, is my Bub would do as well as Lou! He's our fur baby and I want him there so bad. Half of people said I would look like the crazy dog lady (well, I AM a crazy dog lady, no question) and half are saying "do it, do it he will be so cute!" I pictured exactly what you did, letting him off leash and letting him sprint to the front. beautful wedding photos by the way, congrats!

  • Thanks Kate!  It worked for us because Lou is pretty well socialized.  Everybody at the wedding had already met him so they liked him and expected him to be there.  If your dog gets scared/stressed easily I wouldn't recommend it just because it's cute.  Or if any of your guests are allergic, kids that are scared of dogs, etc.  You can always just have pictures taken with him if you aren't 100% sure he'll do well as the ringbearer.

By the way, if that's him in your avatar pic he is freakin adorable!  Is he a boston? H loves bostons.
  • Congrats! Love the new pup too!!
  • Such a cutie! I love Pugs. I wish we could involve our dogs in the wedding, but it is forbidden by our venue. We have a mini-dachshund and a Lab/Aussie mix. They are both that really pretty silver dapple or blue merle color (and they'd look stunning in orange and navy bow ties!). I think I am going to request that our photographer take some pics of me and the boys for my bridal portraits - was thinking about giving my fiancé a framed photograph of our dogs with a caption "We do, too" or something like that. Or maybe a picture of me and the dogs and some other caption.

And by the way, "phonetically" is indeed a word. Phonetics is a large part of what I am going to school for :)
  • Aw Nebb he is so cute!  I love that he's not fat, Lou isn't either and people always think he's way younger than he is.
  • Love your new pug and all the other pug pics too! I have two pugs. A black and a fawn. congrats on the wedding BTW.
  • I love that there are quite a few pug lovers on this board :)

Ammcadams- The dapple color is my favorite on mini-dachshunds!...if we ever had a big dog I would love to have a great dane, the harlequin color reminds me of the dapple, it's just not something you see on a regular basis.  You should definitely get pictures with your pups on your wedding day!

  • Your new pug is adorable, they both are actually!  I am not a dog person but I think pugs are so ridiculously cute!  My 8 year old and her friends at school always pretend they have pet pugs during recess bc they all love them ;)

That one dress is a lot shorter!  I would have definitely been wondering what the deal was with that, especially if everyone else's were the same length!

You looked wonderful in all the pics you posted!

    So true!

Jujub, I LOVE your hair.  How long is it?

I am going for a very similar look for my wedding hair but my damn stylist keeps cutting it (even when I tell her just trim a smidge).  I still have 9 months to grow it but Im think I just might have to get extentions to achieve the look I want.

  • Lil my hair reaches just above my back bra strap.  I had it trimmed every 6 weeks for a year before the wedding, and for the first few months I swear it was just getting shorter! Then about 5 months before the wedding I realized it was looking a lot longer, you should be fine!

Haha I guess that's the stage I'm in.  I get a trim with every color.  Last color session, I told her for now on snippets only!
