Help in the "D"!

I live in the Detroit area and need help fiinding a unique reception/ceremony venue.  We want to be able to bring in our own food and booze - which seems to be impossible as far as I can see!  Can anyone help?!  Thanks so much :)

Welcome to the board! I know several frequent posters will have ideas. Mine are the Belle Isle Casino (not an ACTUAL casino) and the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. I don't think you can bring food, but you can bring alcohol. Also, the Guardian Building downtown allows you to bring in your own stuff I think. Other options could be VFW halls and metroparks if you're looking to do an outdoor affair.

Cobblestone Famrs in AA requires that you bring in both, and it is a really lovely place.

We are doing ours at the Belle Isle Casino. You bring everything in yourself except the tables and chairs they provide for you. It's very big, and unique and so far I am really excited about our wedding being there. People have told me they were hard to work with but nothing has been difficult with me so far.

Tplex allows you to bring your own food and alcohol, price is VERY reasonable.
