Save the Dates have gone out (and people have already started recieving them)! Yay!  I've been slowing down on the planning front, we've got lots decided and paid for already but next week I'll be booking and paying for our room (we decided on IP, where we're getting married for convienence, location, and price; we don't want to switch rooms and five nights can get pricey! :)).  We are planning and booking as we save the money- we are doing our wedding 'out of pocket' no credit cards etc.  So far we've been doing really well! :)

    We'll be staying at IP all 5 nights- I found a promo code that gets us all five nights fro around $300- can't beat that LOL.  We *might splurge and get a nicer room Monday night (our last night) somewhere downtown- since it's a monday I'm thinking if there's soom in the budget down the line the prices will be better.  But regardless, I'm booking the 5 nights at IP because I know we can afford it with the money we have now :)

    That's a good deal. Have you stayed at IP before? I've never have but I heard bad reviews about the hotel. Since, I'm getting married at Imperial also next september, I'm trying to figure out where to stay at.

    I think Golden Nugget has a nicer room for downtown area. I'm so happy that we are ceremony place and wedding year twin! :).

    Maybe book the room rate, but then inquire if they are upgrading rooms with the Linq renovations. I'm hoping they do renovate, like they did with rooms at the Flamingo. Maybe they'll have some upgraded rooms by then as an extra bonus...

    I read from TripAdvisor forum, IP won't renovate their rooms which is a bummer because I was expecting that too.

    I haven't stayed but FI has. He stayed in the classic rooms with like 5 other dudes LOL.  We're booking the 'deluxe' which I'm sure it's great either but it looks ok in the photos.  We rarely spend time in our room when we visit Vegas so I'm ok with it. Plus I like that it's where our ceremony is.

    Would I LOVE to get a nice suite or even a nicer room all 5 nights, absolutely.  Can we afford it? Not so much and I'm ok with that...I've compromised and realized a lot with this whole wedding planning thing and either way I'm excited to finally marry the father of my children :)

    I was actually thinking Golden Nugget for Monday night- I figured rates would be great and after all the wedding festivities we'll prob be ok with a low key evening down on Fremont and in a nicer room :)

    Good for you, lady. It's such a headache to plan a wedding even a Vegas wedding. People said it will be easier which I think some parts are easier, but other parts not so much. I'm glad you are almost there!

    Thank you!  So far it's been fun but definitely different from any wedding I'd imagined when I was little (or any I've been to, ever lol)...I'm hoping it'll all come off as a fun and casual affair :)

    I am sure it will all be fine. Thats what I'm looking forward to also a fun trip/wedding that nice, but laid back at the same time!
