Are any of you ladies, having your parents announced into the reception? I only ask because my FMIL has asked, that we not do this for her, because FI's dad passed away 15 years ago, and she's having a difficult time handling her baby getting married without her "rock" if you will, don't get me wrong, she's really excited about the wedding, I think emotionally, it's going to be a rough day for her..and I understand....but when I mentioned it to my mom, that we probably would only have the bridal party announced, she seemed miffed...so any thoughts and opinions would be great....

    We're having our grandmothers introduced (from their seats.. the'll just stand and love the attention), our parents will be the first to walk in and be introduced... then the bridal party.. then us.

    Can all your parents walk in together with your FMIL as a compromise? That way your FMIL gets some support and everyone gets acknowledged. I hope you can find a middle ground.

    Thanks ladies....I'm going to talk to my mom and FMIL this weekend..hopefully we can come to a middle ground :)

    </div><div>yea same here its on our DJs online planning tool to fill out how to introduce them.   It might be a NJ thing though. they have been such a huge part of planning i want them to have their entrance too and spent time fining the perfect outfits to wear. they will be announced then the bridal party and then us...our Dj is playing different song for the parents, then for wp then for us</div>

    </div><div>i think this would be a good idea if this was a route you would want to take.. but we are having our parents introduced. every wedding ive gone to the parents are always introduced and i feel like its an extra little thank you to them as well, if they want it that is. </div>
