This is something that's DEFINITELY not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I saw it on Facebook, and thought it was neat.

    I think it is a cool idea! Although I have hired a professional photographer, I still want plenty of pictures from my guests because I know each person has a unique view of the wedding. I was thinking about setting up a photobucket album that people could upload pictures into or even some type of image site. I would simply print this information on a business card and leave a stack at each table saying something like "Don't forget to share your views of the wedding with us by uploading your pictures at..."

    I think this would need to be determined on how many of your guests have an iPhone since it is limited to only this phone for an app right now. Even if half of your guests have an iPhone it might be worth it!

    I like it, I have been looking for something like this.... Is there a catch or hidden fee that you have found yet? Some sites get you after like pay per download etc...

    I haven't found a catch yet, and have been playing around with it. I think the closest to a catch is that it's just available on the iPhone. They say an Android version is "coming soon", but I doubt it'd be around by October.

    I'm Sheelvrat, Marketing Manager at Wedding Party.  Thanks for sharing our techcrunch article and discussing the app!  Just to clarify a few things, we launched our iPhone app on August 1st and the product team is working hard on developing the Android version right now which we hope to be available by Fall 2012.  Folks can create their customized app at www.weddingpartyapp.com and there are absolutely no hidden fees or charges!  There's also an option for you to print customized placecards and posters to encourage guest participation at the wedding.  If you've got any questions please feel free to email us at feedback@weddingpartyapp.com
