Shower Saturday - none of my registry is bought!

And of course my grandmother is freaking out about having to order stuff online. I mean, if I registered for a pizza cutter at target, can't you just get me another pizza cutter available in the store??

Right! If you registered for items online, they do not have to be shipped to you.  Your guests can just go out and purchase them, wrap them, and give the gift at the shower.

Registries can take up to 24 hours or more to update online.  That means that there's a chance that some of your stuff is bought but that 1) either people didn't take the time to go back to customer service and get it crossed off your registry or 2) the systems are matched up yet.

    I wouldn't fret.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. My guests forgot to print the registry and scan it at checkout, meaning I got multiples of almost everything. People are purchasing for you -- some just dont do it the right way!

Also, many waited until the morning of to purchase -- you know those who procrastinate!

That happened to me. At my shower, we received 3 iced tea makers. The funny thing is I don't even drink Iced Tea and FI had wanted that on the registry. After the shower I went online and updated my registries with what I had received when people hadn't scanned it at the register.
