Wedding on a yacht???!!!...

I just went to check out some packages that a yacht wedding offers, it seems somewhat cheap for all you get, but the hours are weird, either 11:00am-4:00pm or 6:00pm - 11:00pm ... I am looking for another typenofnpackage that would offer more reasonable hours... Also my wedding days are flexible because it has to do a lot with availability, thinking of a nov. dec. wedding, will the weather of Southern CA Benin my side??? Any suggestions???

Thanks !!!

  • Your changes of having decent weather are pretty good in SoCal but it gets pretty cold out on the water and at night (think a good size jacket if you're outside on deck).  I'm pretty sure that our rainy season is a little later in the winter season but I'm not sure how the winds will be.

  • I recently went to a yacht wedding and it was the worst wedding I've ever been to.  They wedding started an hour and a half late because certain guests were not there.  Since the kitchen is small they could only cook the steak one way, which was way to rare for my taste.  But the worst part was because of the delay they were kicking us off the boat before we even finished eating.  The B & G cut the cake and served it as guests were leaving.  No one even got to dance and enjoy themselves.  Not to say that a yacht wedding can't be beautiful but take all of these things into consideration.

  • As someone who gets seasick, I'd be skipping your yacht wedding.  Not everyone wants to be trapped on a boat for, to someone who is nauseous, a seemingly endless amount of time.

  • We did a beach wedding ceremony and then yacht reception. It was great!! Guests absolutely loved it! It probably depends what company it is, but I can only say great things about ours.

  • We are doing our wedding on a yacht and there were so many positive reviews about the company we are going with.  Its all a matter of perspective and personal taste.  Just go with what you and your fiance want.  Also, we went on several yacht cruises to get an idea of how quickly 4 hours go by.   We are comfortable with that and plus we're doing it because we wanna get married on the beautiful SF bay!   Our wedding is set from 6 to 10 pm,  Sept 14th.

  • I'm having my wedding on a yacht from 12-4 (maybe it's the same co.) then we're having an afterparty later at a diff. venue...my wedding is going to be November 3rd, 2012 in SD...i did a lil research and November is on average the "sunniest" month of the year for SoCal.  Since my wedding will be earlier in Nov., and in the middle of the day, i'm not too worried about getting chilly. :) hth!
