I thought this was a good (not great) episode. Although I L-O-V-E me some topless Sawyer.

- The whole Charlotte thing was weird. That girl doesn't exude an ounce of sexuality, IMO. It was just a weird pairing.

- Partnering Sawyer with Miles, though? Awesome.

- Claire was SOCLOSE to doing away with Kate! I know several of you (myself included) were like, "DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT!"

- All in all, a good episode. We didn't learn too much. Next week's episode looks awesome, though. I can't wait to see Richard's backstory. He's one of my favorites.

    hee....I was going to post the same thing about Kate/Claire.

    I'm not a big fan of Sawyer's "its all about me" attitude, he got better there for awhile with Juliette, but now he is a d!ck again.  Him being ok with Locke/smoke monster killing everyone is not so cool.

    I am also looking forward to next week.

    so cold.  and awesome!  i would also enjoy watching someone strangle kate.

    interesting that miles and sawyer were working together -- and in law enforcement!  and pierre chang/marvin candle is still alive. 

    i like to see sawyer back up to his old tricks: playing "locke" and widmore against each other.

    really, though sawyer -- you tossed her out half nekkid at 3am, and then show up at her place with a flower and a six pack?  come on, what did you expect? 

    who is in the locked room on the submarine?  i'm hoping it's walt.  and who is "locke's" mother?

    Ha!  When Claire jumped Kate I yelled "do it!"  H gave me a look and I told him that everyone on my board was rooting for the same thing.  Then he tried to get into a discussion about how strange it is that a group of woman hate the Kate character and I had to shush him to watch the rest of the show.

     I wasn't thrilled to see Charlotte again.  I would have rather seen him run into Juliette (who I am guessing is ex-Mrs. Jack in sideways world).

    Does Sawyer understand that Flocke = smoke monster?  I wasn't sure if he knew that when he mentioned to Flocke that Widmore's team was putting up smoke monster defenses.

    I was also completely confused about Flocke's story about his crazy mother and how Aaron had the same problem.  What the heck did that all mean?

    Locke's mother (Emily) was crazy. Remember all the crazy sheet that went down in Locke's backstory before his dad flung him out the window?

    But Jack and Sawyer haven't talked, have they?  Flocke told Kate, too, but only after Sawyer was off on his little mission.

    FLocke told Sawyer last night during their little "private chat" in the woods, "I am that smoke thing." 

    I was OK with the ep. A little frustrated at the pace - too slow.  And good god, someone comb claire's hair. That wig is horrific. 

    I did like seeing Sawyer up to his old tricks, but I am so tired of "angry sawyer face" - stupid.  Also bizarre that the secret ambush word is "la fleur" - no relevance to that timeline at all. 

    Did love that both miles and sawyer were cops in sideways world, since both were cons in the original timeline.

    And WTF's up with sawyer fondling kate's dress from the bear cages. (And why is it still there?  I mean, I know they did the deed and all, but surely she got re-dressed after, yes?)  Anyway, why get all sentimental over that while he's still in mourning over Juliet.

    ...

    More later. Our 9:00 meeting is finally starting.

    Can I pull a CW and ask you guys to hold the lost talk until the afternoon? :o)

    I liked this episode. I honestly never really got the appeal of Sawyer until last night, but damn.

    Do we think he has memories of the island? He obviously recognized Kate, but that could just be because she's regularly running into law enforcement in the alterna-timeline. I remember there was some discussion of Jack possibly knowing what was going on in the first episode, so maybe a few people have it figured out? IDK.

    Also, I can't wait for next week. Richard is probably my favorite character of the whole show.

    In the alternative time, Sawyer helped Kate escape from the airport security (right before she hijacked Claire in the taxi). They were in the elevator and he was all, "LOOK OVER THERE!"

    Which doesn't make any sense, if he turned out to be a cop...

    Good call.

    I had the same issue last week with Arzt and Ben working together and being friends but not acknowledging each other when they were on the same flight back from Australia.
