Anyone familiar with Taber Ranch?

Hello!
I recently got engaged on Valentines Day! (YAY!) And I am just starting to plan my wedding. It won't be until next year, but I need to at least figure out where it will be.
In my search I came across Taber Ranch in Esparto, CA (taberranch.com) and I am falling in love with this site. We want a liad back small wedding and this seems like the perfect place.
Before I spend any more time looking into it or driving there (I am from Napa, CA) I figured I'd ask if anyone knows anything about it.
Good or bad, please let me know :)

I haven't been there - but I met the owners at a bridal fair.  They are really nice people.  The property looks gorgeous - but I know it's crazy expensive.
I can't remember how much it was; but it was a lot.

It's not too awful bad. I have a meeting with the owners this Saturday. I live in Napa so everything here is crazy expensive! lol Taber Ranch would be perfect for us. I just hope the pictures are what it actually looks like! :)
I have been in contact with the owners via email and they do seem super nice!
Thank you so much for your response! :)

We are getting married at Taber in early June, and are SO excited we found this spot! I'm happy to share ideas with you or anything we find out that you may want to know. As I tell people, it's one of exactly two places (out of many!) that was as beautiful in person as it looked online.

One thing to know--it's a working ranch, and they don't have potable water and run on generators. I have not heard that this is a problem for anyone, but something to know in case you're planning a major light show or something. The caterer we chose (Magpie out of Sacramento) was Taber's first choice and one reason we went with them was because they'd worked at Taber before with the water constraints with no problem whatsoever--oh and fyi Magpie's food is absolutely delicious. A splurge, but well worth it!

Kim and Bonnie have been nothing but helpful and friendly, and they're very open to couples doing different things...this is as opposed to many venues that have the "and the DJ goes THERE" and "people sit HERE", etc. Plus how can you not love the red convertibles? Luv.

One more FYI -- Cache Creek is great but I didn't really want to stay at a casino, so we ended up renting out the Capay Valley B&B for the wedding party (10 of us). It's literally like a 2-minute drive from Taber and we thought it was really cute, plus the owner Elizabeth is really nice and helpful.

I could gush on and on, but just wanted to let you know that so far we've had nothing but a great experience working with Taber. I'll let you know how the actual wedding goes :)

Hi Holly! (I am guessing you are the Holly in the name lol)
I am sooooo excited to have someone to talk to about Taber Ranch!!!!!!! I will be setting my date for Sunday, June 12, 2011. I plan to go with Buckhorn Catering as Buckhorn is one of my finaces favorite places to eat.  Also, I am torn about where to stay. I haven't been to Cache Creek or the B&B so I have a blank page....eeeekkk! But I still have a ways to figure that out. :)
Anyway, I would LOVE to talk to you about it.  If you could email me directly that would be awesome! d_kwedding@yahoo.com. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hey Kate I am getting married at Taber Ranch July 30,2011. I am thinking about buckhorn too. I have not tried their food yet but it is good? Cache Creek is doing construction during the time of our weddings so did you figure out where you will have guest staying? I really have no idea where I should have my guest stay. I am getting a shuttle from the hotel to the venue so I want a large enough hotel if you have any suggestions.  My email is mandelarobinson@gmail.com if you want to email me!

I am just swinging through these parts.  The Buckhorn catered our wedding.  It was fabulous.  Our guests are still talking about how great it was.    Our wedding was also on a farm (not Taber) and Buckhorn was able to work within those constraints.

I'm in the middle of planning... how were your weddings?  We're interested in having are wedding there in 2012.  I saw someone mentioned something with no toilets?  Where did your guests use the bathroom?

    Thanks,

    J
