brother update

Hi everyone-

I feel so rude that I asked for Knottie vibes then never gave an update, but its been very busy with everything with my brother.

Here's a quick recap-definitely diagnosed with Butkitt's Lymphoma, a rare form of non-hodgkin's lymphoma (about 200 cases in US per year). He started chemo this past Monday and so far is doing well it seems. We won't have another scan for 2 weeks so I dont know exactly how well its acting, but he seems to be handling it well.

We found out the cancer has spread to his liver, stomach and bone marrow, but thats not surprising with Burkitt's since it is the fastest growing lymphoma. Its also supposedly very responsive to chemo, so thats what we're hoping for!

If you could please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, I'd really appreciate it!!

    I'm praying for a quick and effective response from the chemo.  I know how scary and emotional of a time this can be so the entire family is also in my prayers.
