Where are you taking your outdoor pictures on your wedding day?

Hi ladies, I'm not really sure where to take our outdoor pictures on our wedding day and was hoping you have some suggestions.
Our ceremony is in the Northeast area, reception is in Drexel Hill. We have about 4 hours in between both to take outdoor location pictures, but I'm not sure, where to go to with nice location and background for these pictures.

Thank you!

  • I am going to Burholme Park in the NE for free .

Masons Mill Park is really nice and free.  That may be out of your way though..
Nazareth Academy has really nice grounds but I am 100% sure they charge you to take pictures there!

  • We're having the ceremony and reception at a country club so we're just going to take pictures there. I attended Holy Family (lived there for 2 years) and I would see wedding parties come to take pictures there a lot. There's a gazebo and nice greenery. I'm pretty sure it's free to do it there too, just let them know ahead of time. Nazareth Acamedy is right behind it, most people would use both grounds.
  • Old City, City Hall, Art Museum, Ridley Creek State Park.

  • We're doing downtown Philly and Old City, nearby our Church.

Keep in mind that some places require permits. You can probably get a few shots in without having to get one, but if you go out of your way to go somewhere (e.g. Art Museum) make sure you don't need one.

  • We are considering Tookany Creek Parkway. There are a ton of spots for pictures.  My friends had their pictures taken at Lorimer Park, and they were amazing shots! I haven't really looked into this yet, but I was looking at pics of Fox Chase Farm, it is beautiful...not sure if they would charge or not...

Nazareth Academy is beautiful but they do charge a "donation" of $150 (last time I checked, that was the amount). My sister had her outdoor photos taken there 12 years ago and a friend recently had hers there last year. If you don't mind putting out the extra money, the grounds are great and they have a gazebo, stone wall, stone stairs, nice building with columns, etc.
