I am having second thoughts!

Ok, some of you know that my husband and I have been married going on 5 years, we had to get married at a court house because at the time we couldn't afford the weddind we had always wanted. We were planning to get married in our church, but when I found out I was pregnant that kind of went out the window. I had found this place while we were still planning and I had completely fell in love with it. It was amazingly priced. They included any use of their china, silverware, glasses, etc. in the rental price. Well, like I said we didn't end up going that route.

Well, here is my dilema! We went to a few places, found one we really liked, put down a deposit and I kept having horrible dreams about the place so I got online one day and finally remembered the name of the venue. I saw the pictures online and I felt this is where it is supposed to be. I contacted the person in charge of the venue and they do have our date open. My husband and I are going to go look at it this monday or tuesday... But I am already covinced. So I am going to lay it all out for you and you guys tell me what you would do...

The place we already booked:
Tables and chairs
Use of any AV equipment
Charge $145 an hour.
CANNOT decorate the night before, we would have to rent the time we would need to decorate and on the weekends it is a mandatory 4 hour rental. We are already going to pay 1,655 and we will get 350 if there is no damage, but it is only from 1 pm til 10. The issue is, I won't be able to go and help because I will be getting married at exactly 1 pm.

The new place:
Tables and chairs
Use of China, silverware, etc
Will set up and take down
I believe that they will let us in the night before??
The rental is only 1,000 for the day
Oh and they have a dance floor! We would have to rent one for the other place!

I know it seems kind of like a done deal, but I want to know if this has happend to anyone else and if  you would act on it if there was an opening. I don't know, it just feels right? I need advice!

If it feels right and you are willing to lose your deposit from the other place, do it!  As long as the deposit for the other place is less that $655, you would be saving money anyway, especially when you factor in other rentals.

I am really thinking about that. I read the contract that we signed and it says as long as we cancel 90 days before the event we will get all moneys back! Holy Smokes I am so excited lol :) I am really into it. I just needed another persons advice because I ask my hubby and he is like well, I don't care as long as we can have a good time. They don't really factor in the planning that goes with it. Thanks for the advice

Yeah if you have been waiting five years for the wedding of your dreams, you should go for the venue you want!  What's the venue you're looking at?

We put down the deposit at the Rio Vista Park Recreation Center... I know it sounds weird but it is really pretty inside.

The one that I have always thought of is the one at Pebble Creek. It isn't all that fancy but the potential is great with the decorator we hired :)
