RSVP RANT!!!

Our RSVP date is April 1ST and we still havent heard from 50+ people. UGGHH!! We sent them out 21 days ago so I have no idea what people are waitng for!!! This by far has been the most stressful!! Looks like i'll be making thoes "friendly" call next week. UGGHH hope none of you ladies have to go thru this...because it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I can totally understand your frustration. I sent mine out the 14th of March (got a little behind getting addresses). The RSVPs are trickling in with the deadline April 12th. The thing that frustrates me, is that I haven't gotten all of my RSVPs back from our WP. We're having a dinner, so sending them invites also double as a way to know what they want to eat during the reception. I know the local people got them that same week. They shouldn't need to think that hard about what they want to eat and send the info back to me.

    I don't understand why people just don't get the importance of RSVPing. My cousin texted my mom saying she and her BF are coming and trying to get their RSVP in the mail... what does that even mean? All you have to do is write your name, check yes or no, and put it in envelope and lick it. How often do you go to the mail? Bring it with you the next time!!!

    We still have 2 weeks to go and we have had about 60% of the RSVPs so far, I am not worried about it, but it is annoying that you will end up tracking down some people because they don't get it. Those were wasted stamps you put on their return!!

    OP, I wonder if some people just didn't really look at your RSVP date and think they still have time because your RSVP date is really early...

    I am totally w/ you on this one.  I KNOW that they are coming, but w/ some of the groosmen-i can't be too sure.  Plus, my RSVPs are due April 10th and we only have received maybe 25% of our invites back.  I tell you, I am so tired of this I might not even bother calling the people that don't RSVP.  I am just gonna assume you are not coming and then tell my mom and she will handle it.  I think my mom is more upset about people (especially members of her family) not RSVPing than I am.  We are less than 2 months out-i REFUSE to stress over this stuff anymore!

    We had em rollin' in but now they've somewhat stopped. The outstanding ones are FI's family so we "kinda" know our count... but it's still like seriously people!!! We were kind enough to offer you dinner dancing and drinks, how hard is it to let us know you'll BE there.

    haha mandi921vh - I totally agree with this!!  Like I haven't spent enough money...let me just waste $0.45 on over 120 RSVP cards for you to NOT send it back.  Thanks for you consideration jerks.

    I'm stressing this too, AND my hotel block deadline is April 9th, so along with all those missing RSVPs comes not enough booked hotel rooms for our discounted rate. Come on people!! I'm trying not to stress, but I already told FI it's his job to make the calls next week since most of the missing RSVPs are his friends...

    I totally agree and the worst part is, its most of my family which hasnt responded!!! Its so frustrating, our RSVP date is april 14th, hope I get more!

    I don't think there's much hope for 100% return on the RSVP's.  People just don't understand what it means to be courteous.  We had to call about 8 couples (all friend's of FI) last Sunday.  All but one of those couples were a yes.  The funniest part in all of that was, last week, we had most of those cards arrive.  I just laughed.  You can't send it on your own but after we talk to you and get a confirmed yes, oh THEN you can find your damn mailbox!!!
